Please note I have direct access to the Hiring Azure Cloud Manager on this position. Compensation: Base Salary + 10% Bonus + 3 Weeks PTO

Position is 100% Remote

This is an outstanding opportunity for a Windows Administrator/Infrastructure Engineer advance their career by leading the ground up design and build out of an Azure Cloud environment supporting cutting edge mission critical platforms and systems.

The leading Global Biotech Company in its niche is looking for an Azure/Windows Infrastructure Engineer. The company has been in business for 50+ years, is publicly traded, has 6+K global employees, has $5.2B in revenues (16% increase over FY 2019), $108 million in profits (44% increase over FY 2020), has 750 product patents, released 7 new products in 2020 and is an active philanthropic institution.

The Azure/Windows Infrastructure Engineer will lead a Jr. System Administrator and will be solely responsible for:

  • Performing an overall assessment of the On-Prem Windows 2016/2019 Server environment that is supporting cutting edge mission critical applications, software and platforms. Note: This is NOT a standard Corporate IT role. The Windows Servers consist of 18 hosts with 800+ virtualized VMWare servers supporting web-based applications and software, IIS, MS Clustering, Internet and Security Application/Forefront Threat Management Gateway, Pure SAN, SQL Server, MySQL/NoSQL, SQL Management, SharePoint, etc.
  • Researching, documenting road maps, designing and beginning the initial migration from On-Prem to an Azure Cloud in accordance with industry best practices. Utilizing ARM Templates and Terraform to deploy Azure Services such as Azure Clusters, Azure API Management Services, Azure Key Vault, etc.
  • Mentor and guide a Jr. Windows Administrator.

The Azure/Windows Infrastructure Engineer reports to the Azure Cloud Manager.

Requirements:

  • Must have 5+ years of Windows Systems Administration experience, including the deployment and management of VMWare vSphere virtualized servers
  • Must have hands-on production experience with the ground up configuration, deployment and management of any Azure Cloud Services.
