Title: Blucoat SME
Location: Ashburn, VA 20147
Duration: 3-6+ months Contract
US Citizenship is required. The hired individual will support the DHS Managed Trusted Internet Connection (MTIPS). The individual will have access to controlled unclassified information (CUI). The customer has also identified that DHS suitability is required. DHS suitability requires the completion of the eQIP SF-85 - that asks for US Citizenship, information about relatives, foreign travel, employment and financial information. The eQIP also requires fingerprinting as part of the check.
BlueCoat Tier 4 Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide advanced BlueCoat support and troubleshooting expertise to Lab Engineers. In this role the BlueCoat SME will be the expert to support lab engineers and provide advanced technical information regarding BlueCoat rules, configuration and operations. The BlueCoat SME should be an expert on BlueCoat SGOS and the Proxy SG appliances. The individual should be an expert on VPM and CPL formats to analyze BlueCoat data and provide interpretation of rules and configurations. The individual should be familiar with BlueCoat Proxy SG and the setup, configuration and support of Implicit, Explicit and Reverse proxies and have experience in implementing within a production environment
The individual will be supporting a lab environment that is a replica of the production environment. The individual will support the lab teams efforts to configure the BlueCoat, run tests and document the results of the test. The individual will support the testing of specific customer policies within the environment to determine the impact to the production environment. The candidate should have be an expert on BlueCoat and have a good understanding of network and security protocols and concepts include IP routing, BGP, VLAN, and network protocols.
