Our Opportunity:

The Integrated Platform Services team provides configuration, data staging, deployment and environment / infrastructure support services to distributed environments in the Core Technology Services organization.

What you?ll do:

This position is the first point of contact for our internal development and QA customers, via phone calls, ticketing, and email.  Candidate must exhibit strong inter-personal and communication skills, as this role has regular interactions with various support groups and end-users.  Staff members will complete work assignments based on departmental priorities and system criticality, under general supervision of more experienced staff. Candidates must show strong initiative and demonstrate ability to follow through with root cause analysis and implementation of defensive development practice.

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Maintain focus on service restoration of incidents, while also escalate to the appropriate team(s) as needed.
  • Communicate to users and management on status of service incidents and outages.
  • Perform daily tasks such as environment health checks, disk space monitoring and environmental status reports.
  • Actively take part in deployment of application artifacts to appropriate target environments using supported technologies and infrastructure.
  • Proactively look for solutions to maintain or improve environment uptime.
  • Maintain and increase technical knowledge by attending training activities and establishing personal networks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or apparent.
  • May be called upon to assist with an outage and or event to restore services.

What you have:


  • A general knowledge and understanding of server operating systems as normally obtained through the completion of a Bachelor's degree in computer science/information systems or formal technical training.
  • General knowledge of managing technology in remote environments.
  • General knowledge of core infrastructure services such as DNS, NAS, SAN, Networking, SMTP, NAC, Active Directory, GPOs, and DHCP.
  • Familiarity with most basic distributed system administration tools and processes for Linux and/or Windows.
  • Must possess the ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with Source Control Management systems (primarily GIT or TFS) and concepts of branching/merging source code.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to collaborate and work in a team setting.
  • Ability to identify issues and suggest corrective or preventative measures, contributing to stabilizing supported environments.
  • Proven ability to acquire and apply new skills.
  • An understanding of Agile Development Methodologies.


  • Experience with programming in OOP (Java, C# or Go) and/or scripting languages (Python, Powershell, Bash, Ksh, etc.).
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems (such as BMC Remedy, JIRA or similar) for creating, tracking and documenting tickets.
  • Experience using popular Continuous Integration solutions (like Bamboo, Jenkins, etc).
  • Experience with or understanding of Continuous Deployment applications like Jenkins, Chef, or Puppet.
  • Familiarity with automated build solutions like Gradle or Maven.
  • Working knowledge of multiple web technologies, including Javascript, REST, Node and json. 
  • Experience in an Agile Development environment.
  • Exposure to the Atlassian software stack.
  • Exposure to Code test suites (Selenium) and/or Unit testing principles.
