Ferguson has an exciting and challenging career opportunity for a Master Data Business Analyst, sitting in Newport News, VA.
In this role you will analyze Ferguson processes and data then write requirements to address efficiency enhancements, data standardization or new software solutions to support a business need. You will have an opportunity to liaise with Ferguson's business groups/department heads, the Master Data Management department and other departments within IT.
Responsibilities: Interaction with employees throughout Ferguson to understand business strategies and upcoming initiatives to determine future IT solution requirements
Qualifications and Requirements: 3+ years of relevant IT industry work experience.3+ years of Business Analysis experience.
Technical Skills:Strong PC skills with specifics toward all Microsoft Office applications.Knowledge of Master Data, Business Intelligence reporting preferred.Experience with SQL, Azure DevOps, Oracle Cloud ERP components such as Fusion Data Quality or Fusion Product Hub preferred.Experience with data profilingPosses general business or technical knowledge.Ability to create process flows and diagrams.Strong analytical skills.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Interview skills, ability to talk to individuals and groups about their need and ask the right questions to surface essential requirements information.Strong listening skills.Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work with all levels of associates.Ability to work on simultaneous projects.Receptive to some travel (education, project pilot, training, site visits, etc).Open minded about alternative solutions, not constrained by the way processes have always worked within any particular company.Facilitation/able to work with groups to get things done.Must be experienced in the Software/System Development Life Cycle.Must be self-motivated, proactive, creative and efficient.
