CSRA seeks a Web Application Designer / Business Analyst to support the Department of State’s Worldwide Refugee Admissions Processing System (WRAPS). The Design team consists of four designer / analysts responsible for transforming high-level requirements specifications into wireframes of application screens, process workflows, storyboards, and detailed field definitions and validations. Designers interview users, analyze business processes, and apply user-centered design (UCD) to create highly usable web applications that streamline refugee processing case work. The Designers work in close collaboration with their colleagues in Requirements, Development, and Test to deliver new and enhanced functionality in WRAPS, a web-based case management application built in Java and Google Web Toolkit. In this role of Designer / Analyst, you will need to be detail-oriented, and produce design documents that account for all the business and technical requirements without leaving gaps in logic. Specifications include wireframes, data models, business process flows, business rules, and data validations. Designers often put together presentations summarizing the Specification and walking thru the planned release with end users, stakeholders, and the software development team. Designers also keep Specifications current with changes to requirements and approach that come up over the course of the implementation and testing phase.Seeking a Business Analyst/Web Designer to join our team in Arlington, VA. The ideal candidate will have experience designing interfaces that help the user work more efficiently and an understanding of the design elements that facilitate an effective human/machine working relationship. Communicate technical details to the business, business details to the technical staff, and understand the user experience thoroughly enough to advocate for the users when design decisions need to be made.
