The Business Analyst (BA) facilitates communication with clients and translate their functional requirements to technical specifications with the developer teams. An ideal candidate will have very strong problem solving abilities, superior communication and ability to build strong relationships.
- Work with clients to understand their needs and turn them into functional requirements and work with development teams to convert them over to technical specs.
- Present solutions to the stakeholders and facilitate the iterative refinement of the requirements.
- Lead projects from beginning to end and keep everyone updated on project progress.
- Write clear and concise system documentation.
- Develop and maintain key relationships with clients and internal teams.
- Perform system and regression testing on all projects to ensure projects achieve the desired results.
- Design and implement automated processes whenever possible.
- Identify potential opportunities.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an IT Business Analyst role.
- A demonstrated track record of working on projects from beginning to end and seeing their success.
- Comprehensive understanding of SDLC.
- GREAT communication – have the ability to drive requirements with stakeholders/clients, setting proper expectations for deliverables.
- Build strong relationships inside and outside the organization.
- Strong problem solving
- Ability to “connect the dots” – match solutions to client needs
- Knowledge/understanding of relational database (ideally SQL) design or have a solid understanding how data moves back and forth between systems.
DESIRED (nice to have)
- Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server 2012/2014/2016, with T-SQL and SSIS packages.
- Experience designing processes that run very efficiently on large, relational MS SQL Server databases.
