The Business Architecture Associate will be responsible for understanding and influencing enterprise-wide and business-specific strategies, and reimagine business capabilities and processes to enable the implementation of these strategies. Using critical thinking and analytical approach, the Business Architecture Associate will work closely with senior management and subject matter experts across Business, Technology, Operations, etc. to understand current-state pain-points and opportunities, create long-term vision and strategic plans, as well as define future-state business blueprints to deliver against them, with the objective of delivering best-in-class client experience, enhancing operational efficiency and improving risk & resiliency.
Your Primary Responsibilities:
  • Develop understanding of each business division's strategy, business model, operating model, processes, teams, and culture
  • Lead current-state analysis and strategic future-state reimagination of businesses, capabilities and process in support of DTCC's multi-year modernization efforts
  • Apply analytical approach to tackle "ill structured" problems and justify recommendations
  • Work with other Business Architects to find opportunities to develop cross-business capabilities
  • Work with automation teams to find opportunities to use business automation tools (e.g., robotics, machine learning, aritificial intelligence) to improve businesses and processes
  • Synthesize analysis into clear recommendations and findings that contribute
  • Work in partnership with Business Divisions, IT and other collaborators to design and build sustainable solutions
  • Create effective working relationships with team members, business teams, and key subject matter experts
  • Foster a culture of entrepreneurship, innovation and Agile methodology
  • Mitigates risk by following established procedures, spotting key errors and demonstrating strong ethical behavior
  • Aligns risk and control processes into day to day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately

Talents Needed For Success:
  • Minimum of 4 years of related experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred with Masters or equivalent experience
Additional Qualifications:
  • Experience in strategic and/or analytical roles and working with people in multi-functional teams
  • Ideally, prior experience in strategy consulting and/or banking, capital markets, or financial operations. Experience in product strategy and product development is also a plus
  • Understanding of banking / capital markets
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills. Experience preparing and delivering presentations
