Job Description

MicroHealth is seeking a full-time Business Development Analyst to be part of our growing organizational development team located in Vienna, VA. The Business Development Analyst will be reporting to the Director of Business Development and Director of Capture Management in order to develop and manage a pipeline to identify and track new and existing opportunities within the government.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Identifies, researches and supports the response to Request for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs) and Sources Sought notices issued by the Federal Government using a variety of opportunity portals such as FBO, eBuy, and others.
  • Reviews, creates or updates standard processes and tools to support the operational component of the contracting lifecycle and to achieve best-in-class capabilities. Continually looks for ways to improve the operational processes and tools for end-users and leads the design/implementation of such improvements.
  • Research and identify potential teaming partners and develop relationships and partnerships in pursuit of potential opportunities.
  • Participate in industry days, appropriate associations, and networking opportunities.
  • Perform competitive assessment, risk analysis and Bid/No-Bid recommendation in daily briefings
  • Responsible for entering and updating opportunity data in the company’s CRM system.
  • Develops, implements, and maintains standard processes and tools.
  • Performing business process and data modeling.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • BA / BS in business or any other related degree.
  • Must have 5-7 years of Business Development experience.
  • Government contracting and Federal Health/IT experience preferred.
  • Experience with current industry trends and the competitive environment.
  • Experience using SAM, GovWin and other research platforms.
  • Completed formal training in either the Shipley® methods or Shipley StrengthBased Winning® approach is a plus.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work effectively under deadlines and produce accurate work.
  • Exceptional communication skills including written and interpersonal.
  • Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively to achieve specific goals and objectives and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access, SharePoint, and Visio.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand. The employee must frequently lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
