What You'll Do


As a Business Development Manager responsible for CCTG’s vertical market strategy, you’ll define and bring to market innovative vertical market solutions that accelerate growth of Cisco’s Cloud Collaboration business.  To accomplish this, you’ll provide thought leadership on how to develop new service offerings that leverage the Spark suite’s capabilities, delivering value to users in vertical markets such as education, events, financial services, healthcare, IoT, logistics/transportation, and manufacturing. You’ll also identify and develop alliances with key companies serving target vertical markets.


You will:



Analyze and evaluate potential vertical market opportunities with a strategic view, integrating; knowledge of the vertical, the business and technology (offering) requirements of its users, and competitive dynamics within the vertical market.



Develop business plans for the most promising vertical opportunities, model realistic projections, and champion prioritized opportunities.



Be a leader, working cross-organizationally (internal and external) to define offerings, negotiate agreements, develop and execute detailed GTM plans, gaining buy-in and commitments from key stakeholders throughout Cisco and Partner organizations.



Be the SME for target verticals, understanding Cisco’s and other providers’ technologies, roadmaps, strategies and organizational capabilities to steer the evolution of the offerings and alliances for maximum value to all parties.

You’ll work across diverse groups within Cisco and other companies to achieve your goals; Product Management, Development, Pricing & Packaging, Operations, Sales, GTM, Finance, Legal, Support, etc.

You’ll be highly customer focused and possess an action-oriented entrepreneurial attitude, effective at leading cross-functional and cross-organizational teams beyond “business as usual” to achieve great things at a rapid pace.


This is a senior BD role.   You will be able to speak to all levels of an organization (internal and external) with a combination of strategy, product, sales, marketing, and finance acumen.  As a “trusted advisor” you are effective at communicating and building confidence among executive leadership of Cisco and Partner organizations.


Qualifications

 

  • An entrepreneurial mindset, with the tenacity to develop ideas independently, ability to manage complex projects and thrive in a fast-paced environment is crucial
  • Resourcefulness; ability to creatively solve problems
  • Experience delivering successful products to vertical industry customers
  • Working knowledge of modern collaboration technologies
  • 5-8 years of strategic business development or alliances experience
  • Experience with Management Consulting is a plus.
  • Extensive experience with GTM planning and execution
  • Experience negotiating, competence working with contractual concepts and language
  • Sound business judgment, proven ability to influence others, and strong analytical thinking skills are critical to success in this position
  • Ability to think and act both strategically and tactically; able to translate strategic initiatives into detailed execution plans
