Development Sciences Informatics (DSI) is seeking a talented and experienced business analyst to contribute to scientific data management efforts. Development Sciences (DevSci) is a translational science organization that plays a critical role at both client's Research and Early Development (gRED) and late stage development of products at Roche. DevSci supports drug discovery and development projects across all therapeutic areas from discovery to launch (and beyond). We are poised at a unique time when large volumes of complex and varied internal and external data for DevSci areas, such as Biomarker, PK/PD, Diagnostics, Safety Assessment and Bio-analytical, need to be readily accessible to ensure that swift analysis, interpretation, and decision making can occur. These data impact decisions in ongoing pre-clinical and clinical programs, and provide key knowledge to inform new target discovery.
DevSci Informatics is accountable for leading the strategy and execution around data lifecycle management, data standards, analytics infrastructure, ongoing data operations and informatics systems.
Responsibilities:
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with strong technical and communication skills to play a key role in the delivery of informatics solutions that are cost effective, sustainable, and meet business requirements.
The Ideal candidate will be able to work collaboratively across a diverse team of informatics engineers, informatics analysts, scientists, research associates, data scientists/analysts, and vendor representatives.
Understand current business processes and define future business processes
Lead business analysis efforts related to data lifecycle management, analytics infrastructure, and informatics systems
Engage Stakeholders, facilitate workshops, conduct interviews to define business goals and elicit business requirements
Prioritize requirements collaboratively with business stakeholders, UX designer and technology team
Accountable for documentation including business requirements, functional and/or technical specifications, workflow diagrams, and training documentation
Lead small projects and drive resolution of system or process issues.
Determine documentation needs based on the project
Ensure that the project team has clear understanding of functional requirements and business expectations
Conduct UAT and training sessions for a product or implementation
Skills required:
Must Be:- Process Oriented, work independently, and able to communicate effectively with internal and external customers/stakeholders
Understanding of R&D processes and scientific data life cycle. Able to bridge the disciplines of drug development and informatics.
Proven track record of conducting business analysis that led to the successful delivery
Experience managing cross-functional scientific stakeholder relationships
Familiarity with informatics systems, relational and non-relational databases, scripting languages, and data visualization tools
Working experience with both Waterfall and Agile project methodologies, data management techniques and infrastructure requirements
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and stakeholder management
Good research, product demo and presentation skills
Familiar with use of collaborative tools preferably confluence and JIRA
