Developer - Quantitative Research Technology
Role: Developer Quantitative Research Technology
Background Information

This department is responsible for designing, developing, deploying and supporting all of the firms technology solutions.
We are seeking a developer to work on solutions supporting our quantitative research department. The quantitative research function supports the investment process by applying
advanced quantitative analysis techniques to large and/or alternative datasets.

Role Description:
Work as a member of an integrated team of quants, data scientists and technologists
Design and develop end-to-end solutions encompassing data acquisition, ETL, persistence, analysis and reporting
Determine appropriate tooling (programming language, database, visualization, reporting, etc) for a variety of projects involving various
data sources
Ensure smooth flow from concept through production
10+ years of development experience
Excellent technical skills, including the ability to code in these languages (C#, python, R, SQL, NoSQL)
Experience in working with large amounts of complex data from numerous sources
Experience with data transformation / ETL and relevant best practices
Strong mathematical / analytical skills
Excellent communication skills
High energy with the ability to function in a dynamic environment
Intellectually curious, eager to learn and able to work autonomously
Meticulous attention to detail
Minimum Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
Experience with sharded, distributed databases is a plus
Experience or coursework in data science, machine learning or related subject matter
Data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau)
