Join us and start doing your life's best work.(sm)We are seeking a candidate with healthcare domain (particularly in CMS Marketplace ) expertise and experience working in Agile driven development projects to support our current work (Cloud is the new normal and our customer (CMS - Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) is interested in leveraging Amazon Web Services (AWS) to increase agility, improve security and reduce costs, etc.). Primary Responsibilities: Serve as an expert in cloud optimization, networking and application performance, and/or applications deliveryDefine, develop, execute performance/load tests and integrate them with automated test systemsAssist in the development of application standards (coding, logging, performance)Present and articulate advanced product features, benefits, and overall product solutionsProduce solutions to fulfill customer needs within budget and schedule constraintsWork directly with customers, colleagues and other stakeholders to achieve project goalsHandle test data in various formats (JSON, XML, CSV, etc.) and understand data storage, encoding, encryption, data transformation, and related concepts

Required Qualifications: Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience6+ years of experience performing software development activities2+ years of experience using automated test tools for Functional and/or PerformanceHands-on experience using performance test tools to develop scripts, monitor application/database/machine level performance, analyze performance metricsExposure to Java/C development or other software development experienceDeep knowledge of how web applications work over HTTP protocolExposure to the Cloud or AWS Preferred Qualifications: Proficient with JavaFamiliarity with New Relic or SplunkExperience with SQLThe government services support team at Optum has earned the trust of organizations that our entire country relies on; from the Department of Defense and Veteran's Administration to the teams at Health & Human Services and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
