Explanation Of Position
The successful candidate provides expertise in technologies for mainframe applications, processes, tools and technologies, and is well versed with testing, environment setup and data provisioning methods. This position applies a comprehensive knowledge of technical skills, principles, practices, and procedures of various development, testing, and technical infrastructure methodologies. The successful candidate has a vast working knowledge in the planning, designing, and development of code to support mainframe applications and environments. The candidate designs and develops technical solutions for a standardized environment setup process.
Details Of Position
Plans and executes environment setup tasks in collaboration with development and support teams. Designs and implements automated solutions within established framework. Hands on experience with mainframe application development for infrastructure support, data setup and verification. The candidate will work on the setup and maintenance of a mainframe environment to support testing projects. The candidate must have strong expertise in designing and developing code to capture, validate, provision, and securely transfer data between environments and ensure all application components are in sync. He or she will work with UPS teams to configure the test environment, develop standardized processes, and engage in all aspects of the environment setup and maintenance. This includes version control, job setup, scheduling, execution and monitoring. Must have extensive application development experience. Needs strong knowledge of mainframe and other technologies/tools such as Cobol Batch / CICS, JCL, Mainframe DB2/SQL, MQ, TSO, Syncsort, FILEAID, EZTRIEVE, NDM, FTP, ALM, UFT, advanced ESP (Job scheduling and execution), TFS, DB2 tools (Detector, RC Update, Catalog Manager, OMEGAMON, JCL SPUFI), Microsoft Office Suite, ccManager, Xpediter, COBOL programming, REXX programming.
