Job Description

Change Management Consultant with Active Secret Clearance

Deloitte's Government & Public Services (GPS) Human Capital practice is seeking cleared Change Management practitioners of all levels with an Active Secret clearance or higher. Practitioners must be based in the Washington, DC area and open to at least 30% travel.

Practitioners who do not possess an Active Secret clearance cannot be considered for these roles.

Work you'll do

  • Identify opportunities for efficiencies in work process and innovative approaches to completing scope of work
  • Participate in team problem solving efforts and offer ideas to solve client issues
  • Conduct relevant research, data analysis, and create reports
  • Maintain responsibility for completion and accuracy of work products
  • Assist in proposal development, as requested
  • Actively expand consulting skills and professional development through training courses, mentoring, and daily interaction with clients
  • Develop and implement Change Management processes for a variety of clients

The team

Organization Transformation

The Organization Transformation practice is about transforming the organization (and the benefits providers that serve them) to support its business strategy. This involves helping our clients move from where they are today to where they need to be in the future. It could include changing the organization's culture, modernizing specific functions, re-designing the organization structure, and will require a combination of change management actions to execute the transformation. To enable our success, it will be critical to use data and insights to inform better ways of working together.



  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, Communications, Industrial and Organizational Development/Psychology, or a related discipline
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in an industry or consulting team-oriented environment in corporate operations, management and/or human resources-related fields
  • Active Secret clearance or higher
  • Proven experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to write clearly, succinctly, and in a manner that appeals to a wide audience
  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation creation tools, as well as Internet research tools
  • Experience and proficiency in Change Management practices in a consulting environment
  • Open to up to 30% travel, as needed


  • Prior public sector professional services or consulting experience
  • Advanced degree in a related discipline
  • Open to over 30% travel
