The Client Support Specialist role is essential in supporting and maintaining an ongoing relationship with existing clients and internal support teams.  As a first point of contact for new IT issues, you will have excellent problem-solving, customer service skills, and a strong sense of urgency.  Support issues will be managed in a timely and accurate manner, via phone, email, or chat, to minimize downtime. 

Major duties

  • Provide initial triage, for all external client support issues, via phone and email utilizing internal applications
  • Function as a support liaison between client and internal support teams
  • Identify opportunities to enhance client support experience
  • Review time, customer correspondence, and problem description
  • Assist account managers, by reviewing existing tickets, to monitor and manage incoming sales orders
  • Coordinate scheduling between external vendors and internal support teams
  • Other duties as assigned

Education/Certifications

  • AS degree or equivalent work experience

Professional experience

  • 2+ years working experience in a customer-interacting position

Knowledge, skills, and abilities

  • Hardware (computer, printer/copier, telephone)
  • Must possess strong organization and time management skills with a strong customer service mindset
  • Microsoft Windows OS and Microsoft Office Suite

Knowledge of methods

  • Strong analytic and problem-solving abilities
  • Structured thinking and interest in numbers and data structures
  • High level of self-motivation and a willingness to take responsibility
