The Clinical Data Exchange Senior Project Manager works with clinical business partners, clinical program teams, ACO Core Teams, external provider groups and other stakeholders across the UnitedHealth Group enterprise to provide single point of accountability for clinical data exchange related to the UnitedHealth Group Clinical Model. This role will drive the execution of prioritized engagements to enable business value realization by leading a team of implementation leads, business architects and analysts.

Primary Responsibilities:

Manage work in light of National Interoperability and Clinical Data Exchange standards like HL7, CCA, C-CDA, IHE Core etc.
Work with business leaders across the enterprise to determine external business partners and health care providers which drive highest business value to the UHG Clinical Model
Lead team of implementation leads, business architects and analysts to achieve clinical data exchange goals
Lead in a matrix organization by effectively maintaining and building relationships across business groups
Gain strong knowledge of claims, provider, member, and medical management data across Employee & Individual, Medicare & Retirement, and Community & State lines of business
Create a team oriented work climate that enables professional development and encourages creative solutions and strategies, establishes collaboration and emphasizes quality and cost effectiveness
Develop, document, and maintain clinical data exchange processes and reporting
Ensure all activity recorded and resulting reports and dashboards are accurate, complete, and transparent on a daily basis
Work with other technical and business solution teams to ensure single enterprise view of all clinical data acquisition activities regardless of acquisition method or data usage
Actively communicate with senior leadership across business functions and teams to ensure that all parties understand current activities, successes, and barriers requiring escalation
Determine barriers to success during triage of new engagements and provide immediate feedback to stakeholders regarding potential for success and likely timeline for implementation
Assist business operations team with coordination and planning of all engagement activity to ensure predictable outcomes and appropriate escalations
Assist team in continual refinement of business processes to gain efficiencies and increase productivity
Provide explanations and information to others on the most complex issues/ quality technical standards
Motivate and inspire team members

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree
Scrum Certified
5+ years in the Healthcare Industry
3+ years of project management experience
Hands on Knowledge of National Interoperability and Clinical Data Exchange standards like HL7, CCA, C-CDA, IHE Core etc.
Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM applications
Proficient with Microsoft products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and SharePoint
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including communication with executive leadership
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with team members and business stakeholders
Strong organizational, process development/documentation, and knowledge sharing skills
Strong interpersonal skills including relationship building
Proven ability to lead matrixed teams in a fast-paced enterprise environment
Ability to work tactically while developing strategic solutions to business problems in parallel
Ability to work independently with general direction from leadership; self-motivated

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's degree
Experience with process improvement, workflow, benchmarking and / or evaluation of business processes
Experience with provider relations
Working knowledge of HL7 standards and healthcare related EDI technologies
Knowledge and/or experience with UnitedHealth Group EDI and clinical data exchange programs
