Position Description :
Penn Medicine is looking for a Clinical Imaging Administrator

This position may be hired at the Associate, Mid or Senior-level


Associate Clinical Imaging Administrator


The Associate Clinical Imaging Administrator is responsible for management of the clinical imaging systems, modality connectivity and day-to-day support of the end-users of the various radiology and cardiology Imaging systems. This role will also support the Vendor Neutral Archive (VNA) and Image exchange systems. The Associate Clinical Imaging Administrator will be primarily assigned to one of Penn Medicine facilities supporting the end users of various clinical imagining systems.

Accountabilities


Daily Information Systems and Modality System Monitoring:


Daily monitoring of scheduled jobs, using monitoring tools;

Notifying vendors of any problems and working collaboratively to solve those problems.

Providing downtime solutions and support for image transmission when necessary.


User Management:


Adding/Changing/Deleting Users, including putting new users into appropriate user groups, granting appropriate permissions, changing user profiles, deleting users; and maintaining appropriate documentation for all user management functions.


Study Monitoring and Patient Information Management:


Monitoring unmatched studies;

Correcting studies, when images are in the wrong study, when study belongs in the wrong patient; when patient merge, study re-allocation, or image re-allocation is required;

Correcting study using Patient Management Tool, when patient information is wrong; and for creating new patients, changing patient information;


Training:


Providing User Training

Training specific new users and providing refresher training for all users as needed;

Participating in System Administrator training provided by Vendors; remaining current in new versions and techniques.


System Configuration Changes and Modifications:


Install and setup workstation hardware supplied by the organization, including physicians PCs

Notifying, planning, and coordinating installation with Vendor personnel to add modality connections, including interfaces to new modalities;

Notifying and coordinating with Vendor personnel when moves/changes to modalities DICOM storage locations are required;

Planning and coordinating software upgrades with Vendor personnel;

Installing and maintaining other information software (e.g., PS360, Terarecon, PACS, Cardiology systems etc.) to workstations;

Tracking and notifying Vendor personnel when modality software upgrades or other related information system software upgrades are required.


Trouble-shooting and Problem Solving:


Analyzing and notifying Vendor personnel when hardware problems associated with Vendor supplied hardware require Vendor personnel involvement and resolution;

Analyzing and solving hardware problems related to hardware supplied by the organization;

Analyzing and working with Vendor personnel to resolve software problems;

Analyzing and working with Vendor personnel to resolve software communication problems, including modality communication problems, RIS communication problems, etc.


Technical Documentation and Management Reporting:


Developing and implementing policies and procedures, in cooperation with Information Systems, to assure that system monitoring and effective backup procedures are followed;

Developing and maintaining materials and records (attendance, etc.) for user training;


Customer service:


Deal directly with client either by telephone, electronically or face to face

Respond promptly to client s inquiries and resolve client s complaints

Obtain and evaluate all relevant information to handle inquiries and complaints

Direct requests and unresolved issues to the designated resource

Record client interactions, transactions and action taken

Follow up on client interactions when required


On call duties as required:


Responsible for taking on-call as assigned

Responsible for taking Single point of contact (SPOC) on-call as assigned.

Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures

Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization

Clinical Imaging Administrator

Senior Clinical Imaging Administrator


The Senior Clinical Imaging Administrator is responsible for management of the clinical imaging systems, modality connectivity and day-to-day support of the end-users of the various radiology and cardiology Imaging systems. This role will also support the Vendor Neutral Archive (VNA) and Image exchange systems. The Senior Clinical Imaging Administrator will be primarily assigned to one of Penn Medicine facilities supporting the end users on the various clinical imagining systems. The expectation is that a Senior Clinical Imaging Administrator would be a subject matter expert in at least one of our Clinical image systems. It is expected that a Senior Clinical Imaging Administrator is also able to work independently, without the needs for a lot of direct onsite supervision.



Minimum Requirements :
Associate Clinical Imaging Administrator:

Minimum Education/Experience


Associate's Degree is required, a major in Healthcare or computer science is preferred.

1+ years of IS experience is required, preferably in healthcare.

0 to 1 years of Relevant Radiology Clinical experience is preferred.

Skills and Abilities


Demonstrated customer service skills are required

Demonstrated interpersonal/verbal communication skills are required

Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook are required

Ability to work independently and in a group setting, depending on what the situation requires is preferred

Experience working with Clinical imaging system. Familiarity with Sectra PACS, GE CPACS, Syngo CPACs or McKesson CPACs as well knowledge of networking and Radiology or Cardiology modalities, Dicom is preferred

Knowledge of Radiology or Cardiology modalities and/or knowledge of Dicom is preferred

Clinical Imaging Administrator:

Minimum Education/Experience


Bachelor's Degree with Computer Science or related degree is required

2+ years of Relevant Radiology Clinical Experience is required

Skills and Abilities


Demonstrated customer service skills are required

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with a variety of personal skill sets are required

The ability to work independently and as a team player is required

Familiarity with Sectra PACS, GE CPACS, Syngo PACs or McKesson CPACs as well knowledge of networking and Radiology or Cardiology modalities, Dicom is preferred

Ability to use Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) is preferred

Experience with Mach7 imaging archive is preferred

Experience with LifeImage or other system used to upload and exchange outside images is preferred

Experience working in a clinical imaging environment is preferred

Senior Clinical Imaging Administrator:

Minimum Education/Experience


Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of experience working in the imaging field such as a Healthcare vendor or in a hospital s Radiology, Cardiology or IT department or relevant Radiology Clinical Experience is required.

Skills and Abilities


Ability to work independently and in a group setting, depending on what the situation requires is required

Familiarity with Sectra PACS or GE CPACS, or Syngo CPACs CPACs, networking and Radiology or Cardiology modalities, Dicom is preferred

Experience with VNA (ie Mach7) imagining archive is preferred

Experience with LifeImage or other system used to upload and exchange outside images is preferred

Experience working in a clinical imaging environment is preferred

Several years of experience working with a PACS or CPACS system is required

Experience with Sectra PACS is preferred

Experience with Syngo CPACS or GE CPACS is preferred

Experience with any large vendor PACS or CPACS system is required

Experience working in a clinical imaging environment is preferred



Additional Information :
