Duration: 6 months + possible extensions or CTH
This individual will be part of an IT team whose chief objective is to ensure continuous secure installation, implementation, design, administration and support of client s primary IT applications and delivered services. The position requires the ability to understand, comply with and operate within IT governance policies and procedures to protect the integrity of the data, applications and systems supported by the college.
The role requires the use of industry established best-practices and standards to ensure efficient configuration, implementation and administration of third party local and/or SaaS college wide applications as required. He or she will be responsible for efficient capacity planning, proactive monitoring and provisioning to minimize downtime. The individual will have ownership and participate in various projects as assigned. The position requires that the individual has the capacity to learn and adapt quickly to change while maintaining a generous demeanor that is positive and productive.
The successful candidate will act as a subject matter expert for third party and/or SaaS college wide applications including: data flows, scheduled jobs, interfaces and knowledge of the data warehouse, to ensure operational and configuration data is available for internal users. The role requires the ability to utilize communication, presentation and problem-solving skills to translate stakeholder requirements from a formal requirements document through the design phase as well as the ability to consistently train personnel on new applications software. The role must be able to do customer analysis to improve and create customized application workflows that provide innovative solutions to common problems. The ability to clearly document and communicate application usage and application administration is a necessity.
