The Configuration Management (CM) specialist will assist in managing Herrick’s CM functions and take an active role in the implementation of the company’s CM system and other recommend improvements.
Develop, operate, and maintain CM database information and coordinate related planning. Regulate the change process and maintain tracking, control, and proper authorization of design changes. Initiate and execute Engineering Change Notices and Orders. Conduct Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings as required; to include agenda creation, coordination, meeting minutes, and action item generation & tracking. Interface with Enterprise/Material Resource Planning (ERP/MRP) systems (e.g. BOM, item master adjustments, etc...) to ensure accuracy and timeliness. Provide on-going improvements and recommendations to our CM processes and checklists. Ensure that accurate product identifications are documented and maintained. Experience with component obsolescence programs and Deltek Costpoint a plus.
