Title: Junior Technical Project Manager (Oracle Knowledge Management)

Location: Global Headquarters, Atlanta

The Technical Project Manager (TPM) is responsible for delivering against the knowledge management strategy within NCR. The TPM will work closely with the OKM Core IT Technical Team and the KB Technical Administrator to establish all project timelines, get buy-in on deliverables, uphold all project timelines, and obligations to deliver on time, within scope and under budget. Additionally, the TPM will manage the projects initiated to improve and increase KB penetration, use and effectiveness within all NCR verticals, teams and geographical regions, supported by the integrated management of the Knowledge Centered Support (KCS) methodology within NCR. In this role, the TPM will work with internal teams to drive penetration and reach of the knowledge base both internally and externally. To do this, the TPM will cultivate and maintain a culture of professionalism, communication, accountability, and empowerment and use their creativity, focus and drive to achieve results.

Demonstrated drive for results, leadership, autonomy and perseverance are among the core competencies for this role. A keen awareness of customer and employee needs, technical aptitude, a thirst for data analysis and detail orientation will be key. Diplomacy and influence are tools you will use to build and sustain the necessary relationships with other departments within company. You will use your sound judgment, professional demeanor and experience to represent and elevate the knowledgebase so that it becomes an integral and indispensable tool for NCR.

Specific Duties / Responsibilities

  • Negotiate all knowledge project deliverables
  • Deliver against all large technical projects to achieve vision 20/20
  • Create trackable project plans in common project management tools (MS Project)
  • Gaining buy in from all stakeholder
  • Drive all knowledge base projects and ensure that they are completed on time and within budget
  • Coordinate with senior leaders & management teams to remove barriers to adoption
  • Engage cross-functional content contributors to remove all barriers
  • Track analytics, assess tool and program health, and act as needed
  • Evangelize on behalf of our customers for an experience that exceeds their expectations
  • Maintain overall knowledge quality (findability, usability, timeliness)
  • Achieve Key Performance Indicator targets as set by Manager


Mandatory Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience
  • Fluent English, written and spoken
  • Excellent communication skills
  • PMP Certification


  • Oracle Knowledgebase experience highly desired
  • Minimum three (3) years previous experience working as a Project Manager in a large, multi-national support operation
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse variables, solicit pertinent information that is missing, and move to design & execute a resultant action plan
  • An expert in influence and negotiation, both with customers and internally at all levels of the organization
  • A track record of success through autonomy, leadership and self-direction; identify a problem, propose a solution, and make it happen
