The Technical Project Manager leads the project delivery and planning for technical aspects of projects that focus primarily on internal FRB development. This includes, but is not limited to: working closely with the business units and the PMO organization; identifying appropriate resources for projects; prioritizing project work and driving technical issues to resolution; communicating project changes and status to all parties; and ensuring the responsiveness and accountability of the technical team's project-related activities.
Acts as the liaison with the technical teams and the business unit. This includes:
Working with project managers/product managers to prioritize efforts and resolve conflicting priorities
Providing regular updates of the progress and status of specific project tasks
Participating in PMO meetings
Recommending improvements to project process
Participation in project initiations, gate reviews and go-live decisions
Partner with various internal tech teams as well as 3rd party vendors in the planning and design of technical solutions. Where necessary, facilitate design and planning sessions, and coordinate with teams to ensure ongoing progress toward scheduled deliverables.
Provide ongoing assistance with delivery of project artifacts, as required by First Republic's Project Management Office in order to satisfy standard audit controls.
Perform duties & responsibilities specific to department functions & activities.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
Minimum of 6-8 years of IT project management experience in an enterprise environment;
Demonstrated experience as a scrummaster working with the Agile/Scrum project management methodologies.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to simultaneously work on multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Experience working in Financial Services and, specifically, Digital Banking preferred
Outstanding interpersonal skills, including strong verbal and written communications.
Expert in using both Jira and MS Project
* Vision must be sufficient to read data reports, manuals and computer screens.
* Hearing must be sufficient to understand a conversation at a normal volume, including telephone calls and in person.
* Speech must be coherent to clearly convey or exchange information, including the giving and receiving of assignments and/or directions.
* Position involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
* Must be able to travel in a limited capacity
