Financial domain experience needed
The primary focus of the consultant will be executing the full lifecycle from gathering requirements, designing, building, testing through to deployment. This work will also include educating how to use the applications.
The Investment .Net Developer Consultant needs the following skills and background:
Participate in requirements analysis Collaborate with internal teams to produce software design and architecture Write clean, scalable code using .NET programming languages Test and deploy applications and systems Revise, update, refactor and debug code Improve existing software Develop documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC) Serve as an expert on applications and provide technical support
Proven experience as a .NET Developer or Application Developer Familiarity with the ASP.NET framework, SQL Server and design/architectural patterns (e.g. Model-ViewController (MVC)) Knowledge of C# Familiarity with architecture styles/APIs (REST, JSON) Understanding of Agile methodologies Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills Attention to detail BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field 3 years experience with information and reporting functions 5 years of relevant experience with portfolio accounting databases, preferable Eagle Pace. Experience should include experience on both the database and the supporting software tools. Knowledgeable of investment management industry best practices, investment data and investment systems, including trading, analytics, portfolio management, performance and accounting systems. Experience with data analysis tools, including ability to develop code in SQL, SSRS or Eagle reporting tools. Knowledgeable in system development lifecycle methodologies, such as Agile and SCRUM. Significant knowledge of and experience with business intelligence tools, such as Tableau and PowerBI Ability to develop and maintain business relationships with a variety of costumers based on strong client service orientation. Ability to work closely with data management and 3rd party teams to deliver.
Additionally, the following skills would be greatly desired:
Strong SQL, PL/SQL and T-SQL skills Experience with Power BI and Tableau preferred Familiarity with Factset, MSCI Risk Manager, Eagle Pace (including the Data Mart within Pace), and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) preferred
