What You’ll Do:
Our client is seeking a field service Control Systems Engineer or Technician with 2 to 5 years of process control, HVAC controls, or Building Automation System hands on experience.  This person will be an integral part of the Our Client local on site start and commissioning team and will report to the Our Client commissioning lead.  This position will be based at our client’s data center facility that is currently under construction and beginning the commissioning phase. 
 
This detail-oriented position will be an integral part of our project implementation team, responsible for performing field service and assisting the project team in the installation, start-up, and troubleshooting of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) based control systems.
 
 
Job duties include but are not limited to,
  • Assist in project installation, startup and commissioning.
  • Perform loop checks.
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams.
  • Read and interpret piping & instrumentation diagrams and wiring diagrams.
  • Read and interpret technical instructions and specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and modify existing PLC code.
  • Troubleshoot and modify existing HMI and SCADA applications.
  • The ability to work independently, as well as, on a project team.
  • Communicating with customers.
  • Documenting work performed on service reports.
 
Requirements: 
Qualified Candidates shall exhibit one or more of the following attributes:
  • Possess and apply hands on mechanical skills.
  • Electrical and/or electronics troubleshooting skills.
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams.
  • Read and interpret piping & instrumentation diagrams and wiring diagrams.
  • Read and interpret technical instructions and specifications.
  • Proficiency with multimeter and signal generator.
  • Proficiency with hand tools.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Experience with RS Logix 5000
  • Experience with Rockwell FactoryTalk
  • Manufacturing or plant experience.
  • Experience with Building Automation Systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • The ability to work independently, as well as, on a project team.
  • Driver’s license.
 
Compensation:
  • Hourly position approximately 45  hours per week 
  • Reimbursement for travel to job site and monthly home trips.
  • Tour of duty completion bonus for eligible candidates.
