Job Description


Northrop Grumman has an opening for a Mobile Application Developer in our offices in Chantilly. This position designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensures software standards are met. The position requires strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills. As well as a proven ability to research requirements and evaluate technical trade-offs and conduct an analysis of alternatives. In addition, position requires you to work well in teams, are willing to learn quickly, and that you display enthusiasm for your work.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline and 9+ years of professional experience. 4 additional years of professional, technically relevant experience may be exchanged in lieu of degree. Fluency in at least one of C, C++ and Java programming languages. Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Mobile Development (e.g., Android, iOS) with a knowledge of apps and the ins and outs of the Mobile SDKs, NDKs and devices. The ability to obtain a DoD government security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:


An Active DoD Secret clearance is strongly desired. The ability to obtain a TS/SCI with poly is also desired. Experience with Android internals and Linux kernel level development. Technical knowledge of the mobile environment (backend, services, and infrastructure) preferred. Knowledge of cryptography is highly desirable Secure Architecture Using Virtualization: Familiarity with OKL4, LynxSecure, and VMware Knowledge of networking protocols (e.g. TCP, IPsec) Northrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
