Job Description

Link Technologies is currently seeking a Cyber Security Specialist for a client in Las Vegas, NV. The Cyber Security Specialist will be responsible for maintaining the security and integrity of systems, applications, network, and infrastructure. As the Cyber Security Specialist, you will be analyzing infrastructure security, assessing and remediating vulnerabilities, responding to and remediating security incidents, and contributing to data loss prevention and digital forensics.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of relevant IT experience
  • Experience supporting a Security Operations Center (SOC)
  • Must have experience with security incident response and forensics
  • Strong knowledge of security industry best practices
  • Experience with dynamic and static analysis
  • Strong experience with malware
  • Experience determining vulnerabilities in and threats to systems and applications
  • Advanced computer and information technology support and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong understanding of systems and network infrastructure to include Windows, Linux, and Unix
  • Experience with NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ISO 27001/27002, SOX, PCI, COBIT, ITIL, and CCPA
  • Certifications in ISC2 CSSLP, CISSP, SANS, CISM, and/or GSEC
  • Advanced audit/security certifications such as CISA or GSNA

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for tracking all security incidents and ensure items are being resolved
  • Serve as the subject matter expert and technical cyber security leader
  • Managing security processes, policies, tools, documentation, and day to day administration
  • Performing audits and compiling reports on data integrity, and the security and availability of the systems and environment
  • Taking the lead when attacks do occur and remediating the event
  • Simulating security events to determine areas of vulnerability and weakness
  • Serving as the escalation point for security-related issues
  • Staying up to date on trends and new tools in the security industry
  • Recommending areas of improvement to senior leadership and working with other subject matter experts for any projects
  • Analyzing risks and treat intelligence, acting as the internal expert for threat detection and incident response
  • Managing security alerting and fine tuning as necessary
  • Perform investigations on all cyber attacks, intrusions, and/or instances of compromise
  • Contributing to training and ongoing development of the team and cyber security department
