Job Description

Clearance Level: TS/SCI with CI Poly

Years of Experience: 5 years of experience designing, installing, and configuring new systems and platforms based on customer requirements.

Education Level: Bachelor's Degree preferred

Position Description: Cyber Systems Administrator responsible for installing and administrating Windows systems, applications, and processes. The Administrator will be responsible for ensuring server configurations are optimized and running continuously and efficiently and will perform security management and application performance optimization functions. The administrator will implement, configure, and maintain VMware virtual servers and DISA Big Data Platform (BDP) based clusters. Must have an active TS/SCI and current CI Poly.

Required Skills:

  • IAT Level III Certification (CASP+CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, or GCIH).
  • Install, configure, perform ACAS security scans for physical and virtual system environments including IAVAs, STIGs and patch management.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Windows Server 2012 - 2016 and Windows 10 including configuration and installation of the latest DoD Security Host Baselines.
  • Proficient with VMware including administration and security management of secure virtual environments (virtual switch vlan/storage).
  • Experience with installation and configuration of McAfee HIPS/VSE and Microsoft Windows Defender Malware Antivirus protection.
  • Basic understanding of Linux including command line configuration.
  • Implement, configure, and maintain BDP clusters in the War Rooms.
  • Implement, configure, and maintain VMware ESXi hypervisors in CITE 2.0.
  • Configure and maintain virtual desktop infrastructure in the ROC.
  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware for thin-client connectivity to a remote platform.
  • Create and maintain complex server enclave, including virtual platforms.
  • Create and maintain cloud architecture automation tools using open-source resources, to include openNebula, Chef, Puppet, and Ansible automation and configuration management software.
  • Perform system scanning procedures and vulnerability management assessments.
  • Respond to system administration, operations, and maintenance problems and develop re-work solutions.
  • Create and maintain documentation of complex server environments to ensure that clear, concise, and accurate information is readily available for incident resolution.
  • Database related support activities for a mission critical operational system, to include monitoring, backup and recovery, data analysis, data migration, and replication monitoring.
  • User administration, performance tuning, database patching, and application analysis and resolution.
  • Provide support for development and production systems in CITE and War Rooms.
  • Perform ad-hoc tasking which may include applying software builds, updating application versions, applying security patches, and changing configuration settings.
  • Support the development of system configuration documentation, including detailed designs for risk assessments and analyses of alternatives for a variety of system-related issues and concerns.
  • Experience with management and configuration of network equipment, virtual environments, and storage systems.
  • Experience with cloud automation and configuration software to include Nebula, Chef, Puppet, and Ansible.
