Responsible for designing and administering the cybersecurity infrastructure. The Information Technology (IT) operating environment consists of a large enterprise network including VMware, Windows, Citrix, SQL Server, and a wide variety of clinical and administrative applications. The Senior Cybersecurity Engineer will provide project management, administration, and support for security systems such as firewalls, anti-malware, email security, and administer user access. Monitor systems for security vulnerabilities. Conduct security assessments of IT infrastructure and applications, identifying and remediating security risks. Track and ensure resolution of security issues. Helps define security standards for technology platforms. Provide security training to users across the enterprise.
BS degree in Information Science, Computer Science or related field and five or more years of
experience as a security engineer in an advanced technical environment, or an equivalent combination
of education and experience.
Experience conducting information security audits and assessments.
Experience performing network, host, and application vulnerability assessments and penetration
Experience with information security technologies such as Checkpoint firewalls, LogRhythm SIEM,
SentinelOne EDR and Rapid7 vulnerability management.
Experience with secure network and application architecture design.
Experience managing user access in Active Directory environment. Preferred:
Formal technical training in information security
Information security certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or GIAC
Experience with secure design and deployment of enterprise technology platforms, including
Firewalls, Microsoft Windows / Active Directory, UNIX / Linux, WAN / LAN technologies, and
Internet facing web applications.
Experience writing information security policies, standards, and procedures.
