Conducts research in design, development, testing and utilization of electronic data processing software. Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensures software standards are met. Analyzes user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. Confers with systems analysts, engineers, programmers and others to design system and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces. Designs, develops and modifies software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes and consequences of design. Coordinates software system installations and monitors equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met. Employs an agile methodology in software development to include close coordination with PEO IEWS and PEO C3T projects and Systems Engineering leads to assist with requirements and goals for each upcoming development sprint.Qualifications
Must possess TS/SCI security clearance. Must possess bachelor€™s degree. Must possess four years of experience in Computer simulation, client-server architectures, advanced networking techniques and protocols, data bases (flat-file, relational, and object-oriented), high-order programming languages, and operating systems (e.g., UNIX/ULTRIX, HP-UX, SUN-OS, VAX/VMS, Harris VOS). Must have Experience in software design and architecture focused on big data analysis and management methods, including Hadoop, Accumulo, and MapReduce. Must possess Cloudera Certified Developer for Apache Hadoop. Must possess Experience with Eclipse RCP, J2EE, Hadoop, Accumulo, MapReduce, Tomcat, Axis, AJAX, Java Universal Network/Graph (JUNG). Must have experience in analytics and storage of large disparate sets of cyber data and building reference models for enterprise information and data sharing. In addition must have two (2) years experience in design and development of advanced networking techniques and protocols, data base management systems, and programming in high order languages (e.g., C, C++, ADA, FORTRAN). Must have experience in programming in Java, C#, HTML, JSP, and SoapUI. Must possess experience with DCGS-A software components (FEF, AMIES).
