-This role would involve both maintaining our client's production DNS environment, as well as assist with life-cycle support for the Production DNS infrastructure (i.e. validating new software upgrades, new security and DNS features).
-This role is expected to collaborate with boundary partners in other organizations (Application Development, Production Development, IT Operations, Networking Engineering, Security and others) to provide guidance for best practice solutions.
-This role would also involve collaboration and integration with other entities that were recently acquired and being integrated with the rest of the company.
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
-Implementing day to day changes within the network
-Documentation of system designs, deployment procedures, and troubleshooting procedures.
-Capacity planning and hardware sizing.
-Enforcement of systems standards, policies and procedures in regards to hardware and operating system selection, configuration, and deployment.
-Assist in research and documentation of application best practices for performance, security, and stability.
-Ability to communicate effectively with business counterparts.
-5+ years work experience supporting DNS Infrastructure in either an Operations or Engineering role
-Effective written and verbal interpersonal communication skills. Experienced at writing technical proposals and documentation.
-Must be Self-Motivated and Results Oriented
-Experience with Infoblox DNS software required
-Understanding of TCP/IP Networking including OSI Model and basic troubleshooting skills is a must.
-Experience with Microsoft DNS would be a plus
-Linux system administration or system architecture experience or experience with native BIND would be preferred
-Script development with bash or other scripting languages
-Familiarity with VMWare/VCloud, IPv6, advanced networking/security, and/or load balancing
-Prior experience with F5 GTM integration
-Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering is a plus
