Basic IP protocols (NAT, DHCP, DNS, TCPIP)
Working experience with embedded firmware devices
Knowledge of IP networks.
Under limited supervision at customer site and responsible for testing in customer environment. Also, assist customers in troubleshooting, deployments, upgrades, and integration for DOCSIS Gateway, cable modem, voice and WIFI products.
Test in customer environment to identify issues and help with configuration, upgrade and operational support of DOCSIS Gateway, cable modem, voice and WIFI products.
Work with vendors and development team to resolve issues and design flaws.
Perform detailed problem diagnosis, track and update issues in defect tracking system (Jira and Clearquest)
Develop problem resolution procedures required to meet serviceability requirements.
Perform as test lead and provide technical guidance and assistance to other support teams across enterprise.
Provide hands-on training/mentoring to clients and fellow staff as needed.
Perform other duties as requested by supervisor.
