Develop signal processing algorithms and software/firmware for the next generation of software defined radio. Responsibilities include modeling of DSP algorithms in Matlab, implementation of algorithms on ARM processors using C/C++ and/or FPGAs in VHDL, and integration/testing of algorithms with higher layer software including field testing. Some embedded software development in C++ may also be required. Knowledge of 3G/4G wireless, including beamforming and MIMO, navigation and timing, radar processing, including pulse generation and pulse descriptor word processing, direction finding, and/or T/FDOA geolocation desired.
