As a Data Analyst on the Data for Simulation Models and Insights Team, you will be working with both business and technical partners in data acquisition and preparation for our machine learning, model driven environment as well as deriving insights from that data. Your first assignments will be research and POC's in our Experimentation effort along with enabling the data vision portion of our ML Simulation tool suite. What you will do:
  • Work with high volume and diverse data on distributed systems
  • Automate a reusable ML data pipeline with an eye on performance and scalability.
  • Work with peers, leaders and the business to engineer solutions that impact our business's ability to grow and serve customers.
  • Bring ideas informed by experience and the industry, turn them into experiments you lead with the goal that they advance our business capabilities
  • Work with Data Engineers on the execution of POC's, experiment and work
  • Translate complicated data topics for partners.
  • Work and/or coordinate with other data areas in the enterprise to ensure we are informed where we're disrupting convention vs conforming.
  • Create, contribute or optimize infrastructure to enable the ML data platform.
  • Create and/or enable reusable ML models both for training and inference.
  • research and create/execute work around Model post process analysis including but not limited to: Visualizations and ML insights.


What skills you bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related data field OR equivalent certifications and experience
  • Knowledge of data as it pertains to ML, data modeling and Big Data patterns
  • AWS data tools and constructs such as: Glue, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.
  • Solid understanding of key data concepts such as data acquisition, data grain, eventing, metadata, contextual data (keys, wrappers, etc.), logical conformance of disparate data etc.
  • Experience in large, complex data environments both highly coupled and highly decoupled
  • Prior work with 'legacy' type data structures
  • Experience with Python or similar programming language is very helpful
  • Experience in data mapping for data pipelines and optimizing data highly flexible data structures for performance and scalability
  • Ability to pick up and learn new technologies and skills quickly. Aside from the above, it's less about what you walk in the door with and more about how you learn and apply what you learn.
