The clients Research and Early Development (gRED) Early Clinical Development Operations (ECD Ops) department is seeking an experienced Data Quality Analyst who is customer-oriented and data-driven to manage the data quality needs of the Information Management Office (IMO). This individual will be accountable for providing strong customer relationship management with our department as well as participating in data quality activities for our early phase Clinical Development Teams who require trustworthy data to make decisions.
The role will require cross-functional interactions with Information Management Leads, Project Managers, Clinical Study Teams, Business Intelligence and Information Technology teams to drive project needs and information for operational excellence in Clinical Trial strategy and execution. The hallmarks of a great candidate is one who is customer-service oriented, eager to solve complex problems using data, is skilled in analyzing data leveraging new technologies and has a passion to learn new skill sets and seeks to continuously improve and automate processes.
Responsible for the execution of operational data quality monitoring, measurement, reporting, and remediation processes in gRED Early Clinical Development Accountable for the IMO Help Desk process including handling Level 1 data quality ticket resolution and escalation to the Data Integrity Manager Contribute and participate in data quality improvement through analysis, automation of data quality processes, and remediation of data quality issues and business rule development Communication to internal and external stakeholders of data management needs and issues Manage data quality rules, alerts, metrics and communications to identify and remediate critical data gaps using SQL and Talend Communicate synthesized data quality findings to business and technical team members and management Partner with gRED IT and IMO Engineers to identify / diagnose data quality root causes in the gCORE Operational Data Warehouse Deliver insights about datasets, which may involve ad hoc analysis and transformation of datasets Coordinate and facilitate scheduled monitoring and maintenance of the Alation Data Catalog Coordinate the Data Quality Team Meetings
Outstanding customer relationship management and interpersonal skills as well as ability to use case management tools for productivity Possess excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, the candidate must be able to explain the complex to management and external stakeholders Excellent analytical skills, strong understanding of data quality dimensions and ability to manipulate data
1-3 years of experience in a data stewardship or data analysis role Technical acumen; prior experience with or ability to learn data quality tools
Advanced in MS Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to work independently and collaborate with colleagues to accomplish team goals and deadlines
Understanding of database concepts and the ability to query data using SQL
Python experience in particular its use for data transformations and data analysis
Highly desired skills:
Experience with Clinical data and systems such as Medidata RAVE or Oracle Clinical EDC, Siebel CTMS, IxRS, PlanSource (Project Management Tool) Understanding of industry data standards used in drug development, particularly in Clinical development
Experience using data quality management software, such as MDM, data prep tools like Paxata, and data catalog tools like Alation
Experience with data visualizations tools such as Tableau
Experience with communicating technical data concepts to a non-technical audience
