Job Description

The Business Data Analyst III will have primary responsibility for providing critical business intelligence to key areas of the business.  As our highest-level analyst, in this role you will use data and analytical tools to generate rich insights and provide data-driven recommendations to solving a broad range of business problems.  The problem set will range from operational to compliance to human resources.  The Business Data Analyst III will be expected to work closely with key business executives and other Analytics team members to understand and perform effective analyses.  This position will report to the Chief Information Officer.

• Work with large amounts of data, reconciling data between multiple data sources and systems
• Analyze data and build reports in response to business needs
• Independently execute data analysis and be able to interpret/present results
• Work with CIO and senior leadership to determine data-related requirements, and then design/execute/analyze those datasets to form conclusions
• Assist in the creation/distribution of presentation materials for senior leadership
• Build and maintain strong relationships with other Analytics team members
• Provide leadership and mentoring to junior team members

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience, advanced degree in quantitative discipline a plus
• 5+ years of experience as an analyst in consumer finance, banking or related industry
• Track record of progressively deeper experience with data modeling, querying, and interpretation of complex/diverse data sets
• Experience with SQL, query-building and analysis, knowledge of Python and R a plus
• Experience with Qlik or Tableau or Alteryx (or other business intelligence software)
• Experience with Jira/Confluence or similar agile management tools
