Job Description

A Professional Services client of ours is looking to hire a Data Analyst to join their growing team based out of their headquarters in Doylestown, PA.  The company has a niche in environmental consulting services and works with large electric utility companies and power producers to optimize efficiency and effectiveness of air pollution control systems at power plants across the country.  The company has grown significantly over the last year due largely to their pivot towards a data-centric industrial IoT solution which allows for remote monitoring and diagnostics.  This solution provides their customers with actionable data in a manner which has not been done before in this industry.   This Data Analyst position is a critical hire for their team and will be responsible for acquiring, analyzing and reporting utility-scale power plant process data to support the Process Specialists in identification and interpretation of process improvement opportunities for customers.



  • Analyze industrial process data to support the Performance Assurance Team’s production of recurring assessments, conclusions, and recommendations for customers.

  • Analyze and interpret industrial process data to assist the Service Teams solve non-recurring problems at clients’ facilities.

  • Operate and maintain existing data extraction, transformation and data warehousing systems

  • Support research and development of enhanced data acquisition, analysis, and visualization tools and techniques

  • Support research and development of industrial IT security policies and related procedures


  • 2-5 years of experience in Data Analytics or Data Science.

  • Exceptional analytical, problem definition and solution synthesis capabilities

  • Ability to exercise independent judgment while managing high volume routine tasks

  • Intermediate level knowledge and skills in the areas of probability, statistics, and mathematics

  • Advanced level Microsoft Excel skills



  • Working knowledge in one or more of: Alteryx, SQL, Tableau, PowerBI

  • Basic understanding of relational databases (ideally SQL Server) and/or data warehousing concepts, including design, implementation, querying and optimization

  • Familiarity with advanced pattern recognition (APR) software and related applications in industrial processes

  • Experience working with OSIsoft PI server

  • Operation and maintenance of cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure

  • Experience working in the Chemical Process or Power Generation industries
