Data Analyst - 2 Openings!

Palo Alto, CA

6 plus months Contract to Perm (cannot sponsor visas)


The Data Analytics team is responsible for analyzing data from across the company and delivering it to internal business partners (e.g. sales, customer success, marketing).

Client is merging artificial intelligence with computer vision is growing their Data Team in Palo Alto, CA.  Ground floor opportunity with an exciting growth company on a mission changing the world with product built to get people around cities safely and more efficiently. 

Job Description :

  • Working with Business Users to define KPIs and Metrics and document them.
  • Creating Visualizations  to accurately reflect the state of the business
  • Construct SQL queries to support reporting needs
  • Provide data quality and reconciliation support against different data sources of truth
  • Working with the Data Engineers to bring in new data, build aggregate and summary tables and improve cleansing.
  • Maintaining a fully secure data environment following client standards.


Qualifications :

  • B.S. degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics or a similar quantitative field
  • 2+ years of experience in the arena of Data, Databases, ETL and/or Analytics.
  • Experience with OLTP, OLAP and Data Warehouse environments
  • Proficiency in one or more of the Business Analytics preferrably Tableau, or tools like Periscope, Looker, Cognos, Microstrategy, etc.
  • Looker, Cognos, Microstrategy, etc.
  • Excellent SQL skills
  • A commitment to data accuracy and security


Pluses :

  •  Python or other programming experience


Note :

They test on Algorithms, Coding, and SQL/Database thinking

For in-person interview they can use their own language, however they will use python in the role.  It's most important that they can EXPLAIN themselves logically.  Explaining how data gets composed,  how they compare right to left (binary tree).  Their algorithmic thinking.
