Job Description

Data Engineer/Architect

Nashville, TN (remote to start but selected candidates will need to move to Nashville, TN with a 1-2 months notice). Visa sponsorship available if needed.

Required Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience of data engineering related projects/ Data Modeling / Data Management experience, and in complex and global business and technology environments
  • Strong hands on experience with Oracle PL/SQL
  • Analytical queries
  • Python and other scripting languages
  • Experience of visualization tools such as QlikView, PowerBI, Tableau or MicroStrategy
  • Experience using tools such as JIRA and ALM.
  • Experience with Apache Airflow
  • Team player and ability to address multiple priorities in an extremely fast-paced environment
  • Candidates should have strong analytical and numeric capability, a background in analytics and knowledge of analytical tools / data science tools and techniques.
  • Candidate should be a strong communicator and a disciplined worker, who is capable of self-motivation and effective problem-solving
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, and/or relevant experience

Domain Knowledge:

  • Capital Markets domain expertise.
  • Knowledge of Fixed Income and Portfolio Management

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Implement effective database/data virtualization solutions
  • Minor database development tasks will be routine
  • Examine and identify database structural necessities by evaluating client operations, applications, and programming.
  • Assess database implementation procedures to ensure they comply with internal and external regulations.
  • Oversee the migration of data from legacy systems to new solutions.
  • Monitor the system performance by performing regular tests, troubleshooting and integrating new features.
  • Recommend solutions to improve new and existing database systems.
  • Educate staff members through training and individual support.
  • Offer support by responding to system problems in a timely manner.
  • Aid in our data science efforts
