The Data Architect provides a standard common business vocabulary, expresses strategic data requirements, outlines high level integrated designs to meet these requirements, and aligns with enterprise strategy and related business architecture.
This role demands an influential candidate that can communicate to both IT and business representatives. The Data Architect leads and coordinates cross functional teams on a project basis to effectively communicate database design related activities with a wide range of technical, non-technical, and third party team members. This team member is also responsible for the publication and distribution of Data Warehouse data models and related documentation throughout the company. The Data Architect searches for, identifies, and exploits opportunities to enhance enterprise analytical databases using knowledge gained from experience and from an understanding of emerging methodologies.
Additionally, the Data Architect will investigate opportunities to lead an uplift of on premise SQL Server Data Warehouse to a cloud hosted solution in AWS. Focus on delivering solutions quickly to support organizational analytical goals and flexible business intelligence solutions. An ability to understand complex interdependencies within data sources and derive meaning for unstructured data. A strong candidate will need to be capable of defining clear and structured tasks for fellow team members.
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or healthcare related discipline, or equivalent work experience and certified technical training.
At least 5 years' overall database development
3+ years' experience in SQL Server / T-SQL architecture, design, and development in healthcare.
Experience with SQL Server 2008R2, 2012, and 2019. Some Oracle helpful.
Expertise in stored procedure development and query performance / tuning with hospital healthcare databases.
Strong experience in development of reports using SQL Reporting Service (SSRS).
