Job Description

Red Oak Technology is seeking a Data Scientist Manager for our high tech giant client located throughout United States for a Contract to Hire or Direct Hire position.  

 

Multiple Location:

Can be located in any of the following or able to relocate to* - Ohio, Iowa, Indiana, Tennessee, Colorado, Michigan, ILLINOIS, FLORIDA, GEORGIA, ALABAMA, MISSOURI, KANSAS, MARYLAND, DELAWARE.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for leveraging structured and unstructured data sets to gain critical insights on how to drive our networks, systems, and products forward.
  • This role is responsible for creating machine learning models that help to understand network capacity, system performance, or licensing consumption across out platforms.
  • Leverage data to identify opportunities for improvement and ultimately increase customer satisfaction.
  • Drive data collection and enablement for improvements in analytical capabilities and reporting in conjunction with engineers, developers and analysts across the company.
  • Create and curate machine learning and data modeling practices for the engineering team.
  • Ensures that all system data and telemetry is appropriately consumed and utilized in analytical activities.
  • Develops and maintains reports and visualizations for peers, leaders, and stakeholders and makes recommendations on potential actions from the data.
  • Builds and creates self-service reporting and visualization capabilities to ensure that critical business functions can be continuously monitored.
  • Lead small teams of resources for short or long term projects as business needs justify.

 

Qualifications:

  • Expert data scientist in network performance and optimization while also being able to lead small teams of resources as projects needs arise.
  • Experience with Telecom network Infrastructure or Data Optimization within a network Telecom
  • Experience with Network capacity, system performance or licensing consumption across platforms
  • 7+ years of experience in data analytics, reporting, machine learning or database administration.
  • 1-3 year of experience managing/leading teams.
  • Expertise with SQL, NoSQL, R, SAS, Python, JavaScript, or C variants of programming languages.
  • Experience with machine learning, predictive modeling and pattern recognition.
  • Expertise in data mining and statistical analysis.
  • Expertise with visualization tools such as tableau.
  • Strong in statistical analysis.
