Job Description (Narrative Summary):
This Lead developer will implement quality logical and physical data integration designs to meet the operational and project requirements. This will include the implementation of sound architecture, design, and development standards. The resource has the experience to design the optimal performance strategy, and manage the technical metadata across all data integration jobs.
This position will contribute to the continued evolution, operation, and support of business processes and enabling applications to ensure effective and efficient achievement of business objectives.
Scope of work includes the development and sustainment of a processes/systems integration strategy and plan, and project leadership on major processes/systems efforts (including the development of project scope and expectations, and the coordination of resources from multiple internal and external sources).
Responsible for architecture, design and end to end implementation of the data integration solutions
Develop and deploy ETL job workflow with reliable error/exception handling and rollback framework.
Single resource responsible for construction of all objects necessary within the Data Warehouse and or analytics platforms.
Resource will be responsible for developing interfaces including but not limited to API or services development, data conversion programs, and application extensions.
Manages automation of file processing as well as all ETL processes within a job workflow.
Ensures data quality throughout entire ETL process.
Resource will interact with the other project team members responsible for developing reports, interfaces, data conversion programs, and application extensions.
Presents technical information in easily understood terms in both verbal and written form
Works closely with fellow IT staff and project management to document standards and procedures for the definition of reference architectures (architecture roadmap)
Interacts and works directly with customer team members on projects and support issues.
Facilitates communication upward and across project teams
Follows change management and problem management processes.
8+ years' experience in information technology
6+ years' of experience in data warehouse solutions
Extensive hands on experience with ETL tools like Informatica Power Center
Experience with Teradata/Oracle database is desired
Skilled in performance tuning, query plan / explain plan analysis, indexing, table partitioning
Extensive experience with RDBMS including but not limited to Oracle, Teradata or SQL Server
Experience with Google Cloud platform and Big Query
Expertise in reviewing business requirements, technical requirements documentation
Expertise in writing high and low level design documentation
Experience in writing re-usable unit test documents
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Experience leading technical teams
Familiarity with use of version control / source code management tools
Full SDLC experience
Well organized, detail oriented, ability to multi-task
Excellent time-management, planning and prioritization
Comfortable working with all project stakeholders (business users, architects, project managers, business analysts, developers, test analysts, production support team)
Entertainment industry experience is strongly desired
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline. Master's Degree in a related field is preferred.
