Our client is an 8(a) certified consulting firm located in Northern Virginia. They combine technical expertise with insights gained from years of experience to provide effective and efficient solutions for their clients.
They are CMMI Maturity Level 3 appraised and their Agile Scrum Masters and ITIL trained staff ensures that delivery and program management processes consistently follow best practices. Our client’s core competencies are: Oracle Application Management, System Integration, Cloud Computing, and Mobile technologies.
As the Database Developer, you will join a team responsible for the design, development and update of an Enterprise Performance Management System. This system gathers, stores and presents performance data from disparate data sources across the Enterprise. The team is using Tableau 8.2 Desktop and Server (a COTS Business Intelligence tool), which consumes data from SQL Server.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Take charge of most database activities for theteam.
Maintain the existing database and also contribute to the design, developmentand administration of the new database as part of transitioning to a newsystem.
Work closely with the Technical Lead in creating and refining systemarchitecture.
Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements:
3+ years of experience working on major database implementations orprojects.
Mastery of T-SQL andDDL.
Strong understanding of ETL processes andstrategies.
Familiarity with basic database administration activities such as logins, rolesand/or backup/restore.
US Citizenship isrequired.
Active Secret level securityclearance.
Preferred / Special Skills:
Experience converting reporting requirements into creating datamart.
Experience using SQL Server Integration Services(SSIS).
Use/Implementation of Tableau (Desktop and/or Server) or other similarbusiness intelligencetools.
Experience using PowerShell or similar scriptinglanguages.
Familiarity with Agilemethodology.
