Job Description:

The delivery manager is responsible for managing the development and delivery of multiple E-Commerce Web and Mobile applications across multiple programs. Responsibilities include directly managing on and offshore software developers, sizing work, communicating with business leadership, ensuring development work is completed and on schedule. Candidates should have solid project management skills, development experience, and experience directly managing developers along the full life cycle of multiple enterprise level applications. This is an important role to the organization and requires experience with Jira, Confluence and Ecommerce.

  • Manages the day to day development tasks of local, remote and 3rd party development teams for multiple complex E-Commerce sites
  • Responsible for managing the technical quality and code reusability for multiple applications/programs
  • Manages all stages of the SDLC via waterfall and agile methodologies
  • Responsible for ensuring delivery of code is on time and high quality
  • Works with Business Owners to review and approve requirements and provide technical oversight
  • Manages the defect queue for their team (including reviewing, rejecting and assigning defects)
  • Creates project plans, controls change, assess risks and issues, creates mitigation plans and effectively communicates to upper management
  • Manages the development of effective plans for controlling project scope, schedule, and monitors the project execution to ensure that the plan is being followed
  • Develops an effective plan for communicating project status to the project stakeholders and leadership
  • Creates status reports highlighting any project risk or potential schedule and resource issues
  • Leads the definition of project risks, and the required mitigation approaches
  • Serve as SME at the Application/Program Level technically and functionally
  • Receives priority from Business Owner(s) and works with 3rd party marketing agencies
  • Ensures lessons learned are documented and applied to subsequent projects
  • Manages all aspects of code deployments
  • Understands, anticipates and meets business and project needs
  • Responsible for Staging / Production Outages and Defect Support

  • 8+ years of software development experience with a focus on web and mobile technologies
  • 2+ years managing and mentoring developers
  • Minimum 4-year degree
  • Ability to communicate technical details with the development team and translate this information to a format consumable to upper management.
  • Experience using agile-based development approach
  • Experience with software testing methodologies including regression, functional, unit, integration, coverage, performance and load
  • Advanced understanding of SDLC
  • Experience using tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • Understanding of Magento 1 & 2, Shopify and / or another E-Commerce platforms
  • Strong problem solving skills, the ability to analyze and resolve issues
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders in order to meet and exceed expectations
  • The right candidate must be a team player who has the ability to work on multiple projects and can organize and prioritize their work to achieve desired results in a timely manner
  • Must have strong time management skills and ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Must be team-oriented and have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must demonstrate a high degree of customer centric, courtesy, efficiency and professionalism when communicating with colleagues, internal and external customers
  • Nice to have: PHP experience, Front End Development, and CMS
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally approximately 10% of time
