Certifications Required:

1. CompTIA Security+ or otherwise 8570 compliant certification

Position Requirements:

This position is for a Desktop Systems Administrator for a mixed and growing environment of Windows 10, Windows Server 2012/16/19, and Citrix desktops. This position will work for existing Application Sustainment Division while supporting number other Branch administrative and technical teams. You will design, implement, manage, maintain, deploy, troubleshoot and support internal customer environments. This position will require implementing new system hardware and software, and developing local operating procedures and policies as needed or requested. This position will need to be adept at monitoring the ongoing operation of the desktops and servers while providing utilization reports to identify problems and corrective actions as needed.

Required skills:

Minimum 3 years of experience in supporting desktops, laptops, both physical and virtual in a primarily Windows 10 environment with knowledge of Windows Server 2012/16 & 19 for management functions supporting the desktop role.

Base knowledge of Windows includes installing, uninstalling patches, applications, drivers and hardware. A basic understanding of Active Directory, security groups, OUs, user accounts, password resets and permissions.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite to include managing templates, file versioning compatibility issues across a mixed office release (2012/16/19/O365).

A basic background in phone suites to include Cisco Unified Messaging, mobile devices (iPhone) with any experience with a Mobile Device Management suite a plus.

Background in virtual desktops (specifically Citrix - XenDesktop/Receiver/Workspace)

Introductory experience in using SCCM/Software Center, will be responsible to approve or reject software request, monitor deployment packages, monitor and troubleshoot machine SCCM client health items.

A strong knowledge of certificates, DoD, interoperability between various programs, browsers, and troubleshooting ActiveClient & 90 Meter software programs.

Exposure to tools of the trade to assist users when not in physical proximity to their workstations. To include: Microsoft CMRC, Skype Shadow, Citrix Shadow, RDP and other remote takeover tools.
