PSCI has a Desktop Support Technician that will provide help-desk phone AND on-site desktop support to schools within the Wilmington area.
This is an on-site, long-term contract role.
Individual would provide help-desk phone support as well as on-site basic desktop and pc peripheral support to end-users. This would include, but not be limited to, pc & peripheral set-up, user system access, password issues, printing issues, network access issues, basic desktop problem troubleshooting, and basic network connectivity problem troubleshooting.
Ideal candidate should be familiar with applications used to “push” new software down to the desktop (such as “Altiris”). Also should have experience working with some version of service ticket tracking applications (such as "Remedy").
~ Solid knowledge of Windows (Current and most recent versions) operating systems.
~ Good hands-on experience with Dell PC's & Laptops would be a big plus.
~ Good troubleshooting skills ware very important!
~ Should have basic networking skills.
~ Google ChromeBook experience would be a big plus!
~ Good verbal & written communications and strong customer service skills are a must have!
~ Must be able to work with technical as well as non-technical customer (teachers & administrator).
~ Must have reliable transportation!
~ Must be able to pass a criminal background check!
~ Knowledge of MAC OS would be a plus (but not required).
~ VoIP knowledge would be a plus (but is not required).
~ Candidates with either Associates Degree or A+ plus certifications would be preferred.
