Job Description

We have a Desktop Support role available in the Hartford County, CT area with a recognized client in the investment management business.

Role Overview:

You are an early career IT Support professional with a desire to work for an organization where you can gain knowledge and expertise to become a seasoned desktop specialist. You should:

  • Be comfortable working with Active Directory including group policy and account management
  • Be able to conduct laptop setups and lock outs
  • Have experience managing Citrix sessions

You will be communicating with users both onsite and remotely to help with a variety of tasks involving desktop hardware, security, network administration, application and infrastructure support along with some opportunity for asset management. You can:

  • Complete laptop imaging and deployments
  • Handle basic laptop and desktop hardware/software support
  • Troubleshoot and remediate Proxy issues
  • Perform Bit Locker encryption
  • Handle multi-factor authentication and login issues
  • Provide MS Office Suite and Office 365 support
  • Conduct VPN troubleshooting
  • Support Webex video conferencing software
  • Handle backup monitoring and tape management
  • Manage printer, phone, A/V, and virtual PC troubleshooting and support

Education, Experience and Technical Skills required:

  • Minimum of 2-5 years IT Help Desk or Desktop support experience
  • Must live no more than 30 minutes from Hartford County, CT area
  • Associate or Bachelor degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related a plus
  • IT certifications/training a plus
