Job Description

NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR

 

Duration: Fulltime

  • SAN / Storage a plus

  Responsibilities:  

The primary responsibilities for this position are to troubleshoot and maintain our systems. Execute day-to-day support activities to ensure service level agreements and project deliverables are being met.   

  • Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Serve as Microsoft Exchange Messaging Administrator, responsible for the testing and maintenance of Exchange Servers and resolving of Email system problems as required. 
  • Tuning and monitoring the Microsoft Exchange servers and processes. 
  • Troubleshoot errors & interact with various Vendor Technical Support when needed to solve problems in the fastest possible time.
  • Provide management with management systems updates on current status of incidents, changes and requests being executed.
  • Manage user base, permissions and all workstations and worker profiles.
  • Manage data to ensure security and integrity of information, adequate access for authorized individuals and accurate reporting of information for department heads, employees and executives.
  • Review virus and anti-spam regularly to ensure consistent operation and avoid intrusions.
  • Provide secure access to the network for remote users.
  • Evaluating user needs and system functionality.
  • Work with Field Personnel and other remote computer operations.

  Requirements:  

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines.
  • Responsible for internal networks and external user issues outside New York after New York’s regular coverage hours in troubleshooting servers and client issues. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Diagnose network connectivity issues and coordinate with service providers for resolution of circuit outages.
  • Keeping up-to-date with the latest technology.

  Preferred Experience but not required:   Prefer Certification Training in any of the following: MCP/MCSE, CCNP, CCDP, VCP, etc…
