Job Description

NETE is seeking a highly motivated, technical-minded, excellent communicator, and detail-oriented Desktop Support Technician. This role will support the Deskside Support team and provide Tier II technical support to clients.

Provide Tier II support to clients.
Manage issues ranging from basic computer hardware and software issues to printer, telephone, or device repair requests.
Provide support to various environments including Windows, UNIX, Linux, databases (Oracle, DB2),
Provide support to clients related to user account issues, collaboration issues (shared drives, etc.), email, and other technologies.
Record incidents in ServiceNow and track to resolution.

Location: Bethesda, MD

Bachelor’s degree in related field and 1 year of experience; or 4+ years’ experience without degree.
Experience using Microsoft Office Applications.
Experience using Microsoft Enterprise-class Desktop Operating Systems.
Applicants selected will be subject to a Public Trust background security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to sensitive information. US Citizens or Permanent Residents preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

Certification and experience with Microsoft 32-bit and 64-bit.
Certification and experience with Mac OS X v10.6 (Desktop OS) or greater a plus.
ITIL v3 Foundation or greater a plus.
Experience working with client security certificates a plus.
Experience with PIV/Smartcard Authentication.
Experience with OS drive encryption.
Experience with Email encryption.
