Job Description

Aqueduct Technologies is currently seeking an exceptional and driven DevOps Engineer for our customer based just outside of Lebanon, NH; this is a fully remote work position. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for being hands on, writing automation tooling, and building out CICD systems. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of cloud environments such as AWS, Google, and Azure. You will be a force multiplier and an integral part of the organization’s decision making and journey to the cloud.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Collaborate with operations and engineers to understand needs to help safely, reliably, and repeatably move software faster.
  • Build, operate, update, and maintain our customer’s build, publish, and deployment pipelines and tools.
  • Help define processes to streamline the pipeline process.
  • Document the tools/processes to help in understanding, knowledge sharing, and onboarding of the tool/processes.
  • Assist in identifying and mitigating issues associated with build, publish, or runtime problems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional roles to communicate and align development efforts.
  • Fluency in PERL, XML, and JSON to build and maintain tools
  • Assist in tool and technology evaluations.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer scienceor related field, or equivalent combination of education and recent, relevant work experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a SysOps /Operations Engineer.
  • Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in cloud environments: AWS, Google, and/or Azure.
  • Solid experience with Unix/Linux systems, solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong hands-on experience with Unix/Linux command line tools.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work well in a diverse, team-focused environment.
  • Experience with various databases and services such as MySQL, MS SQL, Postgres, RDS, Oracle etc.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Perl (required), Java, JavaScript, Ruby, Python, PHP, Groovy, Bash.
  • Experience with application clustering/load balancing concepts and technologies.
  • Experience with CICD toolsets and methodologies such as Concourse, Spinnaker and/or Jenkins.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the NH office and be able to be present once weekly onsite upon lifted COVID-19 restrictions.
