Job Description

Solidus is searching for a DevOps Engineer.

The successful candidate will join a group that consists of a diverse set of technical experts in biotechnology, chemical engineering, and software engineering. One of our focuses is developing machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms to support medical diagnostics, countermeasures, and physiological signal processing in support of national security. The software development team consists of system administrators, high-performance computing engineers, data engineers, data scientists, subject matter experts, full-stack developers, and user experience specialists. We now need a DevOps Engineer to augment the IT systems team.

- Provision systems and manage continuous integration / continuous deployment (CI/CD) of production grade code
- Collaborating with the development team to efficiently support software engineering efforts to meet the needs of government sponsors and stakeholders
- Work on a diverse set of problems and multiple IT roles is desired.

Required Skills:
- US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Clearance, Active Secret preferred
- BS +2 years of experience

1-2 years experience with the following:
- Cloud-based Solutions (e.g. AWS, AZURE, Google)
- Configure and Maintain a Number of Linux Systems Utilizing Scripting Languages and Automation Tools
- Experience with container technology (Docker, Podman, etc.)
- Experience with DevOps workflows and common CI/CD tools
- Kubernetes
- Linux Enviornment

Preferred Skills:
- Linux Professional Institute Certification (LPIC) Certification
- Red Hat Linux Certification
- Databases and Data Engineering for Big Data
- Python and Bash scripting
- DoD STIGs and SCAP
- VMWare ESXi and Associated Management Systems
