The DevOps Leader will be a transformational leader joining an influential team within the Honeywell Connected Offerings organization to evolve and drive our Connected DevOps practice and strategy. The DevOps Leader is a visionary technology leader with strong DevOps experience who immerses himself/herself with the Honeywell development teams to improve their overall efficiency and effectiveness while insuring the highest level of security and quality in their software deployments.
The DevOps Leader is determined and assertive in both understanding development needs, as well as communicating our DevOps capabilities and strategy while driving strong aligned adoption of the defined DevOps practices. He/She tightly aligns with the Software Centers and SBG development teams, building bridges between DevOps teams to design and deliver world-class DevOps practices, tools and techniques quickly and effectively. This role will require an impactful thought leader with strong expertise, problem solving skills and persuasive consultative experience
As the DevOps Leader you will:
Lead the DevOps practices across the Honeywell Connected business through both your direct team and matrixed teams across the business.
Dramatically grow the DevOps culture/community across our Software Centers and the Connected Business Groups.
Partner with Development, Performance, Architects, Corporate Security, Cloud Providers, Networking teams to specify, design, develop, and implement DevOps frameworks and solutions. Including but not limited to, continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines, cloud deployment/management strategies, and various levels of automation.
Provide a world class experience and ultimate efficiency for the developers by working hand-in-hand with the engineering teams in all development operations to reduce or eliminate any repetitive or manual tasks.
Drive architectural decisions to deliver critical tools and services to the development organization, while maintaining focus on continuous improvement.
Directly support product quality by enabling automated testing, continuous builds and the release process and providing the best technology, practices and tools to achieve best in class quality.
Proven history with AWS, Google, Azure as IaaS providers along with DevOps practices for managed on-premise deployments and associated DevOps practices
Nurture and support a strong lean engineering culture: customer focus; excellent technology; high quality implementations; self-motivated innovation and problem-solving

YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or electrical engineering
- Strong hands-on developing software experience
- Strong technology operations and management experience including scaling a team
- Positive, enthusiastic attitude with great teamwork and interpersonal skills, reflecting the ability to interact with cross department groups
- Public Cloud (Azure, AWS) experience from DevOps perspective
- Experience optimizing the certification and deployment of apps to the major Mobile App Stores (Apple, Google)
- Working knowledge of continuous delivery concepts: continuous integration and deployment (ex. Jenkins, Puppet, etc) and automated testing frameworks
- Hands on experience on any provisioning tools like Ansible, Chef, and Kaavo.
- Deep experience with container deployment, orchestration and management technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher, etc)
